Akkuro selected as technology partner for new financing platform Restauratiefonds

16 juni 2025

Akkuro has emerged as the winner in a European tender procedure organized by the Nationaal Restauratiefonds, the leading social financier for monument owners in the Netherlands. Akkuro will replace the current financing platform of the Restoration Fund with a future-proof, modular SaaS solution.

The Restoration Fund plays an essential social role in preserving Dutch cultural heritage, including by providing and managing mortgage loans for the restoration, sustainability, and repurposing of historic buildings. The organization was looking a proven standard solution that could be deployed without customization, was easy to configure, compliant with laws and regulations, and integrated seamlessly with existing business processes.

Akkuro won the tender with a scalable and configurable platform that supports the entire mid-office: from application assessment and decision-making to loan management. The solution enables the Restauratiefonds to respond flexibly to changing legislation, policy developments, and technological innovations.

“The trust of the Restauratiefonds means a lot to us. Preserving cultural heritage is a socially valuable goal. We are proud to to contribute with our technology to a platform that is essential for the execution of this mission.“

”For us, the digital financing platform is one of the foundations of our services," says Arco van Heteren, CTO at the Restoration Fund. “We were looking for a partner who is not only technically strong, but also understands our mission of ‘living monuments’ and the social challenge that comes with it. We have found that partner in Akkuro.”
