Topicus and Devise Analytics are moving forward together. The strategic partnership helps acute care organise itself smarter with data analytics and simulations, at a time when the pressure on it has increased enormously. This provides insights and predictions for acute care organisations, where staff shortages remain extremely high for the time being. Using data analysis and simulations, we help organise acute care more efficiently so that good, timely care can be delivered under a normal workload for healthcare professionals.
The collaboration was confirmed on 2 March 2022. Devise is keen to take the next step in growth by expanding its market and platform in close cooperation with Topicus. Since 2016, Devise has focused on smartly transforming data into reliable and understandable steering information for urgent care organisations. For example, real-time insights, analytics and predictive models. In recent years, the company has succeeded in supporting dozens of emergency room, RAV and HAP organisations on a daily basis with in-house developed software and predictive models. Tom Berger co-founder of Devise: ‘The collaboration with Topicus enables Devise to grow further within the sector, better serve our current customers and respond to large-scale developments within emergency care, such as care coordination.’
Topicus puts data to ever wider use
Topicus has been active within the Dutch healthcare sector since 2004, before laying its foundations within the emergency chain in 2006. Topicus is mainly known for its VIPLive platform, which is partly aimed at supporting the acute care process with a Casualty and Ambulance EPD, claims and business intelligence solutions. Due to increasing formation problems and thus the need to use available capacity as efficiently as possible, additional initiatives have been developed. For example, active decision support at 112 emergency rooms, but also intelligence to predict care demand and plan logically at the GP after-hours clinics. Add to this the development of care coordination and other national challenges and Topicus and Devise seem a perfect match to meet the increasing demand, explained Jeen Beckers, manager Ambulance Care at Topicus: ‘With this merger, both organisations are jointly able to take dynamic capacity management to the next level using available data.’
Topicus and Devise happy with collaboration
‘We are proud that through this participation Devise joins Topicus. This further stimulates both platforms and accelerates the pace of innovation, allowing more organisations and care providers within emergency care to reach and benefit from the various solutions,’ said Hugo Brand, director of Topicus' Healthcare division. Devise has a strong position within Dutch acute care and is known for its innovative and modern solutions. The company with the Devise brand will be retained and will operate independently from Utrecht.
