ABN AMRO moves to Topicus' pension platform

ABN AMRO has chosen Topicus' software platform to administer personal pension supplement products. A major benefit is that the bank's retail customers will have easier access to pension supplement products, such as bank- and pension savings, via the app and website later this year. The technologically advanced Topicus software will allow ABN AMRO customers to easily use new tax products and make online changes with just a few clicks.
With this range of customer-friendly functionalities now at your fingertips thanks to Topicus, the tax component of these products can be better taken into account both in terms of contributions during the term as well as payments into the future. Further personal pension circumstances, such as personal agreements on remuneration, can also be better accommodated. In addition, pay-outs become more customised, tailored to the individual customer.
With this move, ABN AMRO is replacing its own applications, which were reaching their limits, in part because tax laws have kept changing over time. ABN AMRO is committed to growing this category of products as awareness of personal responsibility for additional pension accrual grows under the new pension contract. The aim is for all ABN AMRO customers with products in this category to be transferred to the new platform by the end of this year (2022).
ABN AMRO chose Topicus after an extensive selection process in which 11 parties participated. In the end, Topicus was chosen because, according to the bank, the company is not only very knowledgeable on the IT side, but also appears to have in-depth know-how on the products and details of the business.
