On March 2, 2026, IT company Topicus acquired the activities of PortalPlus Cloud Solutions B.V. from Rotterdam. Topicus, a provider of student information systems, and PortalPlus, a specialist in software for student intake and guidance, have reached agreement on the acquisition of PortalPlus's activities by Topicus. Financial details of the acquisition will not be disclosed.
With this acquisition, Topicus is taking an important step in further supporting the entire ‘student journey’ and the ambition of Lifelong Development. Lifelong Development (LLO) is the continuous renewal of your knowledge and skills throughout your career in order to remain employable.

There is a lot of enthusiasm within Topicus Education about joining forces with PortalPlus. In addition to the strong connection with Eduarte, Topicus is investigating how this solution can be used more broadly in other education sectors. The goal is to improve the student journey everywhere, driven by Topicus' mission to make education a little better every day.
Frank Reijenga, founder of PortalPlus, shares this enthusiasm: "By joining forces with Topicus, we can scale up our innovations in the areas of enrollment, CRM, and student coaching more quickly. For our customers, this means continuity and accelerated product development, while maintaining our personal and flexible approach. I will remain closely involved as managing director to shape this growth together with the team." The acquisition will therefore have minimal impact on the team and customers with daily services from the current location in Rotterdam.
